NAGQU, May 1 (Xinhua) -- Pentso, born in 2001, heads the rehabilitation department at Zhupan Tibetan Hospital in Nagqu, southwest China's Xizang Autonomous Region. She was awarded May Day national labor medal this year.
Pentso combines modern rehabilitation techniques with Tibetan medical therapies, bringing patients hope for recovery. To make rehabilitation services more accessible to people in need, Pentso's department has introduced measures such as free rehabilitation treatment, reduced or waived fees, and help with accommodation arrangements.
"If I can use my expertise to help everyone in need, then no matter how hard it is, it's worth it," Pentso said.
