A Chinese medical team that has been assisting the Federated States of Micronesia (FSM) recently traveled to the country's Chuuk State to support local post-disaster medical efforts following a devastating typhoon.

During a six-day mission, the team treated more than 500 patients, helping to ease pressure on the local healthcare system.

Earlier this month, Typhoon Sinlaku struck Chuuk, triggering secondary disasters including flooding and landslides. The disaster caused extensive damage to infrastructure and severely disrupted public health services. (Chinese medical team assisting the FSM/Handout via Xinhua)
