CAIRO, Feb. 9 (Xinhua) -- A rubber boat carrying 55 migrants capsized off Libya's coast on Feb. 6, leaving 53 people, including two infants, dead or missing, the International Organization for Migration (IOM) said on Monday.

The vessel overturned north of the coastal city of Zuwara, and only two Nigerian women were rescued in a search-and-rescue operation by Libyan authorities, the IOM said, adding that both survivors reported losing close family members.
