Vietnam, Algeria elevate ties to strategic partnership

HANOI, Nov. 20 (Xinhua) -- Vietnam and Algeria agreed to elevate their bilateral relations to a strategic partnership during Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's state visit to the African country, Vietnam News Agency reported Wednesday.

During the talks between Chinh and his Algerian counterpart Sifi Ghrieb, both sides pledged to strengthen cooperation in politics, economy, trade, innovation, defense, education, and culture under the new partnership framework.
