ABU DHABI, 20th May, 2025 (WAM) -- General Assimi Gota, interim President of the Republic of Mali, welcomed Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan Al Nahyan, Minister of State, during an official visit to the capital, Bamako.

Sheikh Shakhboot bin Nahyan conveyed the greetings of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court, to Gota and their wishes of further progress and prosperity for the government and people of Mali.

For his part, Gota conveyed his greetings to President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, and His Highness Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Vice President, Deputy Prime Minister and Chairman of the Presidential Court. Gota expressed his wishes of further development and growth for the government and people of the UAE, and commended the close bilateral ties between the two countries.

The two sides explored ways of enhancing cooperation across economic development, renewable energy, education, and health, and emphasised the importance of strategic partnership to achieve sustainable development and stability in the region.
